This year, the Christmas celebration in Taichung once again features the Christmas tree in water in Liuchuan and the creative light art exhibition. All visitors are most definitely welcome to experience a very special Christmas ambience by the river!
Liuchuan Christmas decorations: Lighting ceremony at19:00, December 7, 2018
The 10-meter Christmas tree installed in Liuchuan river incorporates the imagery of the flora expo. The tree symbolizes Taichung’s city flower, Taiwan Cherry. Colors indicative of the four main flowers produced in Taichung, flaming lily, gladiolus, dancing-doll orchid, and lily, are also observed in the lighting design of the tree, which signifies the everlasting bloom of Taichung as well as the highly anticipated floral expo.
Huludun Waterfront Creative Christmas Tree: Lighting ceremony at 19:00, December 8, 2018
The one-of-a-kind 9-meter Christmas tree at Huludun Waterfront features a steel structure, carved-out laser engraving design, spray paints, acrylic light plates and LED lights. The notion that people are at the core of everything is the main message the unique tree conveys. Echoing the 2022 World Design Capital, the modern and edgy geometric design of the tree also encompasses the spirit of seeking common good.
