This year's themed after the classic Disney Pixar animated film "Monsters, Inc.," the Christmas event displays a 16-meter-tall plush Christmas tree. Decorative lightings of Michael Wazowski (Mike), wearing deer antlers, and James P. Sullivan (Boo), in a monster costume, appear in front of the Christmas tree.

This year's event combines local desserts in Taichung to create a variety of unique themed decorative lights. People can take photos with Monsters, Inc.'s character lights from the old train station to the Liuchuan Canal and Lyuchuan Canal. The main stage of the Liuchuan exhibition area launched a laser lighting display, combined with the on-site lights and the Liuchuan Canal, to present a colorful and imaginative performance, making everyone feel like they are in a movie scene. The performance is from December 13 to January 1, from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. every day, every half an hour, a Christmas highlight that people cannot miss in Taichung this year.

The old Taichung Railway Station also features a market with cultural and creative stalls, floriculture, dessert, baking specialty stalls, and exciting art performances. It is worth everyone's while to come to the scene in person and experience the sweetest Christmas surprise of the year.
