• Main Lantern－Shining Taichung

  

  The main lantern“SHINING TAICHUNG” draws inspiration from the mythological goddess“Nuwa”.It is the first-ever mobile performance lantern in Taiwan, breaking the traditional lantern conventions. The lantern incorporates AR technology and a 100-meter-long story scene to create an immersive theater experience. With a sweep of Nuwa’s arms, five-colored stones light up the earth while the Four Divine Beasts protect the four corners, symbolizing prosperity and a bright future in 2025.

• Urban Oasis

  Taichung City steeped in rich cultural heritage. This zone collaborated with Taichung’s literary artists, features stunning water lantern displays that tell stories of Taichung through the power of words. Through the elegance of poetic storytelling, it creates a harmonious symphony that captivates the hearts of all who visit.

• Flavorful Feast 

  

  The only lantern zone in Taiwan where you must “fill your stomach before you visit”! Inspired by the Taichung’s Grilled & Hotpot Festival, this zone combines visual artistry with culinary delights, showcasing a “BBQ skewer corridor” and water hotpot lantern installations.

• Snakes Party

  

  Snake symbolizes differently in each culture. Since 2025 the year of snake, a party is hold for global gathering snake-related deities, reflecting Taichung’s friendly and charming atmosphere.

• KUSO Snakes

  

  The most anticipated zone is launched!
  This area is filled with playful and humorous puns and promises to provide unexpected fun and joy for visitors of all ages.

• Chrono Ecstasy

  

  Discover hidden mystical gems within countless parallel universes as you embark on a journey through space and time, composing a rhapsody of the imagination.

• Ocean Explore Zone

  

  “A Fantastic Adventure in the Ocean.”
  Welcome to an imaginative marine adventure.  It uses the concept of marine environmental protection to create theme lights, conveying marine environmental awareness and echo of the Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs) 14 of UN "Protect Marine Ecology." Let’s work together to protect the ocean!

• Where Art and Story Slither Together!

  

  The tale of the Golden Serpent Prince is a door to the fantastical journey. This area’s light, art and music show that the brave prince is looking for a token of love between him and the princess. This fantasy weaves a tale of light and shadows.

• Happiness in LOVE

  

  The Department of Civil Affairs section at the 2025 Central Taiwan Lantern Festival, themed "Happiness In Love", integrates the imagery of Lecheng Temple’s God of Marriage and temple elements to create a romantic atmosphere of "connecting red threads, illuminating perfect matches." Lantern displays from 29 districts highlight local characteristics, echoing the theme of happiness and romance while showcasing the vision of "Happy Taichung, a Livable City.“
