The Wenchang Temple on Wenwu Rd. in Dajia District was declared a 3rd-class National Historic Site for its well-preserved architecture and craftsmanship. Initially a public school and Dajia’s first-ever educational facility, the temple sparked enthusiasm for academic pursuits in the neighborhood.
During the exam season, crowds of test-takers and their parents bring offerings to the temple in prayer for good test results. In recent years, local dignitaries have joined forces in organizing various arts and cultural events to keep this grassroots heritage alive while
increasing their bonding time with the neighborhood.
