The Zhi Gao Zun Walking Trail is a family-friendly trail built along the Wangtian Canal, with a gentle slope. Shortly after entering the trail, people will see a large banyan tree; its roots encasing the rocks create a spectacular sight and a popular photo spot. Along the way, an "aqueduct" is built to accommodate the terrain's elevation changes, forming a unique aerial walkway.

Shaded by trees, the sound of the trail's flowing water makes it cool and comfortable to walk in the summer. The trail ends at the Xuelian Trail, allowing people to climb Xuetianshan and enjoy panoramic views of Greater Taichung. It is a popular route for family hikes and watching the sunset and night views.

Vistor tips

The entire trail follows the ancient canal, with trees providing shade along the way. Accompanied by the sound of flowing water, the walk is cool and comfortable on a summer day, offering a chance to experience Taiwan's rural irrigation culture.

Along the way, people can see the aerial roots of large banyan trees, bamboo groves, wildflowers, butterflies, and birds, making it an excellent outdoor classroom for families to learn about nature.

The middle section of the trail passes through an aerial walkway and an aqueduct, popular with photographers and social media influencers, offering expansive views from the bridge.

Please take away the garbage you produced along the trail.

Do not feed or disturb wild animals.

Do not build a fire, barbecue, or use gas stoves in the mountains.

To avoid bee stinging, please do not make noise or disturb the bees when you see them. Hikers are advised not to wear perfume or clothes in bright colors. The rule of thumb is, always keeping distance from the bees.
