This year, the festive revolves around the concept of “gaining back the original flavor and extending the memory of traditions”, it’s also going to hold xinding ban competition together with some exclusively planned and splendid activities, such as “Hakka Carnival Parade”, “Hakka Crafts Street”.
 

1. Hakka Carnival Parade

Time: Feb 21, 2016 at 9:30-11:00am
Content: To invite guests of honor from the Greater China region and Japan to bring more global attention to the event. The route of the carnival parade is as follows: Dongshi Hakka Culture Park- Zhongshan Road- Sanmin Street- 1st Side Street- Fengshi Road- Zhongshan Road- Dongshi Hakka Culture Park.

2. Grand Opening

Time: Feb 21, 2016 at 11:00am-12:00pm
Content: To present annual wooden mascot and hold the ceremony of cutting both gui ban and tao ban of 120 kilograms.  

3. Super Exhibition of Xinding Ban of 120 kilograms

Time:

1. Feb 21, 2016 at 11:00am-4:00pm

(in the square of Dongshi Hakka Culture Park)

2. Feb 22, 2016 at 11:00am-4:00pm

(on Wenhua Street)
Content: Besides a still exhibition, at the end of the event, there will be ban-cutting to give away xinding ban to whoever participates in the event. 

4. Performance of Bang Snaps Throwing

Time: Two sessions on Feb 21, 2016 at 7:00pm and 9:00pm (in Yongan Temple)
Content: To highlight the local important traditional activity for celebrating the Lantern Festival as well as to unite the spirits of the locals.

5. Xinding Celebration Karaoke

Time: Feb 22, 2016 at 10:00am-5:00pm
Content: To offer a professional stage and karaoke equipment to invite people to sing along.
