Guang Fu New Village was originally a dormitory for employees of the Taiwan Provincial Government but later transformed into a youth startup base, restoring the popularity of this once-declining garden city.

The current Guang Fu New Village has art and cultural studios, specialty cuisine, indigenous cultural settlements, and old buildings full of military dependents' village style. It is worth exploring, as different cultures coexist there.

Fantasystory Green Ray

The Fantasystory has transformed the twelve old dormitories of the Taiwan Water Corporation, located in Zhongxing Lane 1, into a cultural and creative settlement that attracts many tourists.

Following the three principal axes of art, humanities, and creativity, the Green Ray Plan creates a unique atmosphere and vitality in the decoration of each shop. The innovative landscaping and relaxed atmosphere of the second-floor platform are also significant features of the Green Ray Plan!

The “Taichung Qingshui Art Village Cultural Park,” located opposite the Taichung City Seaport Art Center, has preserved some of the village buildings of military dependents and brought a cultural atmosphere to the village through the cooperation of community groups and the Cultural Affairs Bureau. The resident artists also bring a touch of art and culture to the Qingshui Military Dependents' Village. The series of cultural activities held annually in the village of military dependents showcases the new vitality of this village.

Cultural Heritage Park, Ministry of Culture

The Cultural Heritage Park of the Ministry of Culture is the first cultural heritage park in the country. Dongshi Hakka Cultural Park

Formerly known as Dongshi Station, the station was rebuilt into Dongshi Hakka Cultural Park after the trains stopped running. In addition to retaining the railway imagery of the time, it has been incorporated into the Hakka elements.

The Park is decorated with traditional Hakka art. Besides, periodic themed exhibitions showcase Hakka cultural relics or railway memories to allow visitors to better understand the past and cultural history of Dongshi Hakka Village.

Taichung Station Railway Cultural Park

After the elevated Taichung Railway opens, the old red brick classical-style railway station building will be preserved and transformed into the Taichung Station Railway Cultural Park. Dongshih Forestry Culture Park

The Park was formerly known as Daxueshan Forestry Company, once the largest timber factory in East Asia. After its closure, the park preserved precious forestry historical sites. The wooden storage pool has become a habitat for birds and aquatic animals. Moreover, the park has invited masters to use drifting wood carving to create unique wooden artworks, making it a multicultural park with humanistic history, ecological conservation, and artistic aesthetics.

National Taiwan Music Culture Park

The National Taiwan Music and Culture Park is a performance venue for the National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra and is committed to promoting classical music. The Park includes the Taiwan National Concert Hall, which houses many symphony instruments and works by composers. The beautiful, colored exterior wall of the concert hall features the ceramic sculpture "Music Feast" by artist Mr. Zhao-Qing Lin, conveying the rich and lively atmosphere of music. Walking around the park is like enjoying a symphony.

Taian Railway Cultural Park

The old Taian Station in Houli was designated a Taian Railway Cultural Park after the Old Mountain Line ceased operation in 1998—the pillars on the platform, made of railway tracks, were produced in the early 20th century. The old railway and autumn maple leaves exude a strong sense of nostalgia, coupled with the surrounding Da-an River steel bridge and commercial district, attracting many tourists and becoming a popular tourist attraction in Houli District.

Niumatou Historic Cultural Park

The Niumaotou Site is an archaeological and cultural site on Aofeng Mountain in Taichung, representing the mid-Neolithic period. The park's exhibition includes introductions to cultural relics, collections of unearthed cultural relics, archaeological excavation methods, etc., allowing everyone to understand the past human life and development process in central Taiwan. There are also relics of shrines from the Japanese colonial period and architectural facilities in the former military camp, which serve to preserve cultural assets and showcase education.
