Come see the Monsters! “Monster-filled” Guangfu Village lights up the Christmas Tree of Dreams
To welcome the 2020 Taiwan Lantern Festival and celebrate Christmas, the Guangfu Village Startup Base has been transformed into a "Monster Christmas Village" and young entrepreneurs will light up the Christmas Tree of Dreams in the village.
The Department of Labor has stated that in response to the 2020 Taiwan Lantern Festival being in Taichung and with Christmas being just around the corner, the young entrepreneurs of Guangfu Village have exerted their creativity by collecting mango tree branches found all across the village to build a 3.6-meter-tall “Christmas Tree of Dreams” in the Startup Base Service Center’s garden. The Christmas Tree illuminates every young entrepreneur’s dreams, and will remain illuminated until the end of the Lantern Festival.
The Department of Labor also pointed out that this Christmas event will hold 2 gift exchange "parties" under the Christmas Tree of Dreams. The first one will be a unique "Strangers Gift Exchange Party" held from 2 to 5 PM on December 14th. People are more than welcome to prepare Christmas gifts worth 200 to 300 NTD and exchange them with strangers. The second one will be held from 2 to 5 PM on December 15th and it will be an especially hilarious "Trash Exchange Party" since one person’s trash might just be someone else’s treasure. You’ll have to guess what kind of unexpected Christmas you’ll be gifted!
During the “Find the Monsters, Gather Painted Stickers” event, as long as you collect stickers on a sticker card at Guangfu Village, you can head to the Guangfu Village Startup Base Service Center (No. 2-3, Heping Road, Hefeng District) every Saturday and Sunday from 10 AM to 4 PM) to redeem a limited-edition star eco-friendly bag with a limit of 30 every Saturday and Sunday. Details of the event can be found on the official website of “Starry Youth, Building Dreams in Taichung,” the FB Fan Page, or contact the Guangfu Village Startup Base Service Center at 0966-523671.
